DIDDY CASE: On His 55th Birthday, Diddy Talks to His Children Over the Phone
Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, detained since September 16, was heard for the first time since his arrest during a birthday call with his children, who offered him support during this challenging time.
Diddy, accused of sex trafficking, extortion, sexual assault, and transportation for prostitution, turned 55 on Monday (4th) at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is awaiting trial.
During the call, Diddy’s children – Chance, Quincy, Christian, D’Lila, Jessie, and Justin – sang “Happy Birthday” and conveyed a message of unity and support to their father. In the released video, they also refuted conspiracy theories circulating on social media.
In response, Diddy expressed his pride and gratitude, highlighting the value of family during this difficult time: “I love you all, I’m proud of you. Thank you for being strong and standing by me. I have the best family in the world,” he said.
On his birthday, Diddy followed the usual routine of other detainees. According to People magazine, breakfast was served at 6 a.m. and included fruit, oatmeal, whole-wheat bread, baked potatoes, jam, and margarine.
Lunch and dinner meals, served after the 4 p.m. evening headcount, consisted of simple dishes such as roasted turkey with rice, peas, and gravy, as well as an option of fried rice with chicken or tofu, accompanied by black beans, carrots, and whole-wheat bread.
There was no special dessert for the occasion. If desired, Combs can still purchase additional items from the commissary, provided he has the necessary resources.
