DIDDY CASE: Rapper decides to sell his house and luxury jet to pay for lawyers
Awaiting trial for a series of serious charges, Sean “Diddy” Combs seems to be trying to offload some of his assets. Among them is a luxury jet valued at US$60 million, which is now available for rent on private charter websites.
As reported by The Sun, the rapper is also looking to sell the jet after already listing his Beverly Hills mansion for US$61.5 million. The jet is a black 2015 Gulfstream 550, and its rental price is steep.
The 14-seat jet is available for rent through the company Victor, known as the “Uber of private jets.” Flights are operated by Silver Air, an aircraft rental company that claims to have an “extensive fleet of luxury jets, from small to large long-range models, available 24/7.”
Diddy’s jet is also listed on an aviation broker website, where a trip from Los Angeles to New York costs around US$116,681 for a little over a four-hour flight.
According to the report, the sale of these assets is intended to help cover the high legal fees, which have increased due to the forecast of a prolonged trial.
