HARRY POTTER: Series about the saga will have connections to the game “Hogwarts Legacy 2”
The sequel to the game “Hogwarts Legacy” will be interconnected with the HBO series, which will reimagine the story of Harry Potter and delve even deeper into the plots of the books. This information was revealed by David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, in an interview with Variety.
Haddad mentioned that the game development team has been working closely with the narratives that will be presented in the series. According to him, the success of “Hogwarts Legacy” has helped increase confidence that this is the ideal time to dedicate efforts to a major Harry Potter-related project: “The rest of the company was quite curious about what we managed to unlock with Hogwarts Legacy last year”.
Although J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in managing the franchise, WBD executives keep her informed through her literary agent. “If we go beyond a discussion about canon, we ensure that everyone is comfortable with what we are creating”, stated Robert Oberschelp, head of global consumer products at Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Harry Potter series is expected to have seven seasons, each adapting one of the seven books in the saga. The main cast is expected to be announced by early 2025.
