Hotel Waiter Where Liam Payne Died Suspected of Supplying Drugs to the Artist
Braian Nahuel Paiz, one of the three individuals being investigated for Liam Payne’s death, gave his first statement about the case in an interview with Argentine television. The Argentine waiter is suspected of having supplied drugs to Liam on the day of his death. Braian confirmed that he was with the singer in his hotel room and that they consumed drugs together, but denied selling any substances or receiving payment.
According to the Mirror, Braian explained that he met Liam a few days earlier at the restaurant where he worked, and they later kept in touch through a “secret account” on Instagram. “I never gave drugs to Liam. He approached me at the restaurant where I work, we exchanged numbers, and met later that night. Everything happened normally,” Braian said in the interview, as reported by the Mirror.
“We were together at the hotel, and he even showed me some new songs he was preparing to release. I heard rumors that he had used drugs, but the truth is, when he arrived at the restaurant, he was already under the influence and didn’t eat anything.” Regarding the second meeting, on the day of the singer’s death, Braian explained: “We used drugs together, but I never supplied drugs to him, nor did I receive money.”
He also commented on the photos of Liam’s room after his death, stating: “When I saw the photos, it didn’t make sense to me. The Dove soap packaging was there when I was in the hotel, but I didn’t understand its purpose, nor the reason for the candles or the glass of water,” he concluded.
In addition to Braian, a hotel employee and a friend of Liam’s are also under investigation. The singer passed away on October 16, at the age of 31, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
