Lady Gaga announces the release of a new album: “Harlequin”
This Tuesday (24th), Lady Gaga finally announced the release of her new album, “Harlequin,” set for this Friday, September 27th!
The new album by the 38-year-old singer is related to the film “Joker: Folie à Deux,” in which she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
During the Venice Film Festival, the singer, who is also an actress and was nominated for an Oscar in 2019 for Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born,” stated that she would not consider “Joker” a musical. “It’s quite different, as the music serves as a way for the characters to express themselves when dialogue wasn’t enough,” the singer added.
Directed by Todd Phillips, this sequel to “Joker” features Gaga in the role of Harley Quinn, previously played by Margot Robbie in the films “Suicide Squad” (2016), “Birds of Prey” (2020), and “The Suicide Squad” (2021).
In Brazil, the film is set to premiere on October 3rd.
