Liam Payne’s body arrives in the UK, the singer’s home country
Liam Payne’s body arrived in the UK, the singer’s home country, on Thursday (7), more than 20 days after his death on October 16 in Argentina.
The flight carrying the musician’s body landed at 7:49 AM (local time) at Heathrow Airport in London. As reported by The Mirror, Liam’s father, Geoff Payne, accompanied the journey from Buenos Aires to the British capital.
The release of the former One Direction member’s body was delayed due to the necessary examinations. Argentine prosecutor Andrés Madrea, responsible for the investigation, stated that the remains were only released after the completion of toxicological and laboratory tests aimed at clarifying the cause and circumstances of the artist’s death.
There is still no scheduled date for Liam Payne’s funeral in London. However, according to the Daily Mail, the family had already been organizing the ceremony even before the body arrived and intends to hold a “grand” farewell for the singer.
