Second Season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” Reveals a Country Unaffected by Zombies
Throughout the franchise, “The Walking Dead” has consistently shown that the entire world was ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. However, the spin-off “Daryl Dixon” seems to reveal that one nation managed to withstand the disaster.
From the outset, the zombie virus had a massive, rapid impact, decimating much of the global population. The main series and other spin-offs, all set in the United States, demonstrated that despite some survivors, the country suffered greatly from the apocalypse—alongside other locations like France and Greenland.
However, at the end of the second season of “Daryl Dixon” — SPOILER ALERT — it becomes clear that one particular nation managed the crisis more effectively: in the final episode, as Daryl and Carol prepare to head back home, they set off towards the United Kingdom after a Scottish couple shares that the island did not fall to the zombie apocalypse.
When Daryl asks about the current situation in the country, he learns that the UK was in good condition the last time the couple had news, as the military acted swiftly to contain the infection.
The third season, already confirmed, will be released in 2025. In the storyline, Daryl (Norman Reedus) attempts to return from France to his home, while Carol (Melissa McBride) embarks on a search for her missing best friend in Freeport, Maine.
In addition to Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride reprising their roles as Daryl and Carol, the cast includes Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebanouey, Laika Blanc Francard, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, and Romain Levi, with David Zabel as the showrunner.
