STRANGER THINGS: David Harbour Talks About the Series Finale, and Netflix Reveals Episode Titles for the Final Season

Netflix released the first teaser for the 5th and final season of “Stranger Things”, revealing the titles of the episodes that will close out the series. The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2025, though an exact date has not yet been set. Recently, during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper, shared some exciting details about the show’s conclusion.

According to the actor, the final episode is the best of the entire series and promises to surprise with its quality. Harbour noted that he is often quite critical of certain episodes that don’t appeal to him, but he expressed satisfaction with the plans for Stranger Things’ ending: “I’m very critical of this show. They really nailed it this time, and it’s the best episode they’ve ever done. During the table read, about halfway through, several people started crying, and in the last 20 minutes, it was uncontrollable crying”, the actor shared.

He also mentioned that part of the emotional weight comes from the fact that the main cast has grown up alongside the series. Harbour assured fans that the final season will be well received: “It’s an outstanding episode and an amazing season. You’re going to love it”, he stated.

It’s worth noting that while the main series is coming to an end, the Stranger Things universe will continue to expand through spin-offs and other productions.

Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the series has become one of Netflix’s biggest hits. Set in a small town, the story follows a group of kids who get involved with a secret government experiment that opens a portal to a parallel dimension known as the “Upside Down”. The kids begin investigating the mystery, plunging into an adventure filled with supernatural forces and a very peculiar girl.

The cast includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Dacre Montgomery.
