The Jonas Brothers perform a tribute to Liam Payne during a show
During a show last Monday (11), the Jonas Brothers paid an emotional tribute to Liam Payne. The performance, which took place in Highland, California, featured the band covering “Night Changes,” a hit by One Direction.
Nick started the song playing the guitar, while the audience sang along. Kevin was also playing his guitar, while Joe shared the vocals with Nick.
Liam Payne passed away after falling from the third floor of a hotel. According to the newspaper La Nación, the police were called to handle a man who could have been “under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” When they arrived at the scene, they confirmed the death of the former One Direction member.
Geoff Payne, Liam’s father, traveled to Argentina to follow the investigation into his son’s death, which was initially expected to be completed in four to five days, but ended up extending for two weeks.
The autopsy revealed that Liam suffered 25 injuries due to the fall from a height of about 13 meters. According to Alberto Crescenti, head of Argentina’s Emergency Medical Care System (Same), the death was instantaneous.
