James Gunn reveals that the trailer for the newest “Superman” movie is already ready
It seems that the first trailer for “Superman,” the film that will mark the beginning of the new DCU in theaters, is already ready and about to be released. James Gunn, the director of the film and known for his active presence on social media, shared on Threads that the material is already stored on his hard drive.
When asked by a fan about the trailer, who mentioned other films that already had previews, Gunn confirmed that the content is ready but explained that the film has not yet released its first trailer. Recently, ComicBookMovie suggested a possible date for the trailer’s release.
Speculation is that the first trailer for “Superman” will be shown at CCXP in São Paulo, which takes place from December 5 to 8. However, the website indicated that DC might release the content a few days later, at the end of the year.
With five NBA games scheduled for December 25, ComicBookMovie suggested that the trailer could be released on Christmas Day, probably during the Lakers vs. Warriors game.
David Corenswet will play Superman, while Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane. Few details about the plot have been revealed so far, but it is known that the film will follow Clark Kent on his journey to find himself in a world already inhabited by heroes and powerful figures.
“Superman” is scheduled to premiere on July 11, 2025.
