1 – A LITTLE BIT OF THE FAMILY

John Christopher Depp II was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA, on June 9, 1963.

Johnny and his family got used to moving cities frequently. During his childhood, Depp lived in over 20 different places.

At the age of 15, Johnny saw his parents divorce. Her mother later married her second husband, Robert Palmer, whom Depp considered a "true inspiration".

Even at this time, Johnny had problems with self-mutilation, due to family conflicts he was experiencing.

2 – STARTED IN THE CINEMA WITH THE RIGHT FOOT

Johnny Depp landed his first role in 1984, in the horror classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” starring the iconic character Freddy Krueger.

In this film, Depp gave life to the character Glen Lantz, boyfriend of the protagonist Nancy Thompson, and starred in one of the most remarkable deaths of the entire franchise!

10 – TROUBLED MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE WITH AMBER HEARD

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the set of "The Rum Diary" (2009), got married on February 5, 2015, on the actor's private island in the Bahamas. The problems started soon after the union began.

During the filming of one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Johnny Depp allegedly came out of an argument with Amber Heard with an injured hand. In March 2015, the actor broke bottles, a mirror and again injured his hands during a fight with his wife.

Amber Heard filed for divorce on May 23, 2016, just 15 months after the wedding ceremony. At the time, the actress justified the separation on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences”.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce was officially finalized in early 2017.

Everything seemed smooth until the publication of an article written by Amber Heard in The New York Times. In the text, the actress described her experiences with physical and emotional abuse, wanting to tarnish Depp's reputation.

In March 2019, Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation. The actor sought $50 million in damages. Depp's lawyers claimed that all of the allegations made in Amber Heard's article were "categorically false" and that witnesses would confirm that the actress was, in fact, the assailant.

In 2022 they face a trial, where Depp showed audios of Amber yelling at him and assuming that she had hit the actor.

With all these accusations, Depp lost important roles in his career, such as in Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" and Warner's "Fantastic Beasts".

Having worked with Disney for over two decades, Depp says he was very upset to have left that way and confessed that he won't return to the pirate franchise even if his salary is $300 million!
